Do you install video doorbells in Limassol and Paphos?
Yes. LimaTek installs video doorbells in Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Nicosia and across Cyprus, for villas, apartments, offices and restaurants.
Which video doorbell is best for a villa in Cyprus?
For villas with a network cable at the door we usually recommend a PoE doorbell such as UniFi G6 Entry, Ring Wired Doorbell Elite or a 2N/Akuvox door station: always powered, local recording and gate release. For apartments, a Ring, Eufy or Nest doorbell is often enough.
Can a battery doorbell handle the Cyprus summer?
Battery doorbells work, but batteries age faster in heat and need recharging. On south- or west-facing entrances we prefer wired or PoE models and add a sun hood where needed.
Can the doorbell open my gate or door?
Yes, with the right model. UniFi G6 Entry with UniFi Access, Akuvox, 2N, DoorBird, Hikvision and Dahua door stations have relay outputs or access control integration to release a gate motor or electric lock from your phone.
Do I need a monthly subscription?
Not always. Ring and Nest keep full video history on a paid plan. Eufy, Reolink, Aqara, UniFi and Ajax can record locally without a monthly fee.
Can I replace my old intercom without new cables?
Often yes. Many old 2-wire intercom cables can carry network and PoE using 2-wire extenders, so an IP door station can be installed without chasing walls.
Does the doorbell work with Alexa, Google Home or Home Assistant?
Ring works with Alexa, Nest with Google Home. UniFi, Reolink, Aqara and DoorBird integrate with Home Assistant, and Aqara G410 also acts as a Matter hub.
What about privacy and neighbours?
We aim the camera at your own entrance and use privacy masks and motion zones, so the doorbell does not record the street or neighbouring properties.
